My name is Kimberly Anne Makela and I live with my family in northern Michigan. We have a small farm which we have worked for over 20 years and raised our children on. This web site is an extension of our life and the home of my Christian Internet ministry of writing children's stories based on life at our farm. It is also a place for me to share my Quaker journey, Christian faith and plain dress testimony as well as share information thee might find useful about simple living.

In truth, I am but a "baby" Quaker, well middle aged in life but a youngster in faith with the Religious Society of Friends. I certainly don't presume to be an authority on the Quaker faith in all its many dimensions but attempt only to share my evolving experience of Quakerism and how it is working in my life.

In sharing the story of my Christian journey of faith and plain dress testimony I hope to be of encouragement to others who find themselves similarly called apart for Christ. Through the ministry of my children's stories, I endeavour to bring praise and glory to God and provide a safe, educational resource for children about life on a farm and the miracle of creation.
